Frequently asked questions
The questions customers ask us most, from sign-up to connecting, sorted by topic. All amounts are in US dollars.
Getting started
What can I buy at ProxyWorld?
Four proxy products: residential bought by the GB, unlimited residential bought by the day, and static ISP and datacenter with a monthly price per IP. All four are paid from one USD balance.
Which countries can I get IPs in?
Residential, unlimited residential and static ISP let you pick IPs in 60 countries. Datacenter covers 18. Whether you can also pick a city depends on the country, so check its country page.
How do I sign up?
Pick whichever way suits you. Create an account with an email and password, or save the single token shown on the sign-up page and use that. The email is only your login name. We send no verification or notice emails.
What happens if I lose my token?
It can't be recovered. The token is shown once on the sign-up page, and we keep only a hash of it, not the token itself. Download it as a file or put it in a password manager.
How many accounts can I create?
Up to 3 per network (IP address). One account can hold plans for several products at once, so even a team usually needs just one.
What do I do after signing up?
Top up your balance and buy the plan you need, and you can start right away. Your proxy username and proxy password are created during sign-up and appear on the first screen of the dashboard.
Unlimited residential
What sets the unlimited residential price?
We count days, not traffic. The day rate depends on concurrent connections, bandwidth and how many days you buy. The default card, 200 connections at 100 Mbps, is $4.35 for 1 day.
What is the cheapest day rate?
$3.31 a day for 200 connections at 100 Mbps on 90 days. At a larger size, 1,000 connections at 200 Mbps is $9.47 for 1 day, or $8.05 a day on 30 days, $241.50 in total.
How much do I save on longer periods?
The day rate drops 6% from 7 days, 15% from 30 days and 24% from 90 days. The discount is applied on the order screen automatically.
Which period cards are there?
Four: Layover (1 day), Tour (7 days), Stay (30 days) and Residence (90 days). If none fits, enter any number from 1~365 days in the dashboard.
How do I choose connections and bandwidth?
Concurrent connections is how many connections you can keep open at once: 200, 500, 1,000 or 2,000. Bandwidth is the speed cap: 100, 200, 500 or 1,000 Mbps. A good rule is to match connections to the number of threads your tool runs at the same time.
Can I choose the country on an unlimited plan?
Yes. Add a country code such as -cc-us after the proxy username and traffic exits in that country. You can change the code on every request, and without a session ID each request gets a new IP.
Residential
How much is 1 GB of residential?
The more you buy at once, the lower the rate: 5~24 GB is $0.37, 25~99 GB is $0.34, 100~499 GB is $0.31, 500~1,999 GB is $0.28, and 2,000 GB or more is $0.25.
How long can I use the traffic I bought?
There is no deadline. It stays on your account until it is used up, so you can buy a larger amount for the lower rate and use it over several months.
How much can I order?
5~5,000 GB in one order. The cards are Trip 25 GB, Journey 100 GB, Voyage 500 GB and Expedition 2,000 GB. If this is your first order, we suggest Journey (100 GB, $31.00).
Residential or unlimited residential: which fits me?
If your daily usage is small or changes a lot, go with residential, since leftover GB carry over. If your team steadily uses more than 11~14 GB a day, unlimited residential works out cheaper.
Can I connect through a specific city?
Yes. Add a -city- value to the proxy username, for New York that is -cc-us-city-new_york. Each country page lists the cities it supports.
How often does the IP change?
By default, every request gets a new IP. To hold one IP, add -sid- with any ID and set the hold time in minutes with -ttl-, up to 60 minutes.
Static ISP and datacenter
When would I use a static ISP proxy?
It gives your account one IP of its own for the period you buy. It suits work that must sign in from the same address every day, like social media or ad accounts.
How much is a static ISP IP?
Per IP per month: 1~9 IPs $0.27, 10~49 IPs $0.25, 50~249 IPs $0.23, 250 IPs or more $0.21. One order can hold 1~1,000 IPs.
How much is a datacenter IP?
Per IP per month: 5~99 IPs $0.13, 100~499 IPs $0.11, 500 IPs or more $0.09. One order can hold 5~5,000 IPs. 100 IPs for one month is $11.00.
Is there a discount for buying several months?
Yes. Both products come in 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, with 3% off for 3 months, 6% for 6 and 10% for 12. 10 static ISP IPs for 12 months cost $27.60 instead of $30.00.
Where do I pick the country?
On the order screen, together with the number of IPs. Static ISP offers 60 countries and datacenter offers 18.
How is static ISP different from datacenter?
Static ISP IPs are registered to internet providers, so sites see what looks like a home or office connection. Datacenter IPs come from server lines. They cost less and run faster, which is why they are popular for bulk data collection.
Top-ups and billing
How do I add balance?
Send crypto to the address on the top-up screen and the balance is credited. We accept USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Solana, TRON and Litecoin. Check the network shown on the screen before you send.
What is the smallest top-up?
The minimum is $25. The most you can add in one top-up is $5,000.
Where do refunds go?
To your account balance. If an order fails, is canceled or can't be activated, every cent you paid comes back to your balance. Balance is not paid out to a wallet.
Will my unused balance disappear?
No. Balance has no expiry date, and you can use it later on any of the four products.
My order says activating. Should I just wait?
Yes. Payment is complete and the plan is being switched on. If activation fails, the order is canceled automatically and the full amount returns to your balance.
Connection and account settings
How do I set up the proxy connection?
Enter gate.proxyworld.shop as the host, and port 6100 for HTTP and HTTPS or 6200 for SOCKS5. For the username and password, use the proxy credentials in your dashboard.
What options can I add to the proxy username?
Choose the product with -zone-res, -zone-unl, -zone-isp or -zone-dc. Add a country like -cc-us and a city like -city-new_york. Keep the same IP with -sid- and set its hold time in minutes with -ttl-. Example: pwexample1-zone-res-cc-us-sid-a1
I want to keep working from one IP.
Send your requests with -sid- and an ID of your choice. Requests with the same ID leave from the same IP, and -ttl- sets how long it is held, up to 60 minutes.
Can I connect without the proxy password?
Yes. Register your server IPv4 addresses under Allowed IPs in the dashboard, and requests from those addresses skip the password check. You can register up to 10 addresses.
Where do I change the proxy password?
Issue a new proxy password in the dashboard. The old one stops working, so update the programs and scripts that used it as well.
How do I change my login password?
On an email account, go to dashboard settings, enter your current password and set a new one. Your other devices are signed out. The proxy password is separate and does not change. Token accounts have no password and sign in with the token.
